A quick "shout out" of appreciation to Northeast senior, Anjela Tavernaro. Yesterday morning, I was helping with the bus routes and Anjela was kind enough to help me navigate through all the stops to pick up students. At the end of day when I was transporting students home, Anjela insisted that I drop her off LAST to make sure everyone got home quickly and safely. I provided her with a $10 sonic gift card to show my appreciation! GO VIKINGS!
These students got to attend the TRL sportsmanship summit. Students discussed improving sportsmanship and supporting coaches/programs. Destiny Hagan spoke to the league about her view as a student athlete. Students also listened to an NFL official speak on his experience as an official. Students also got to discuss ways to make TRL parents, athletes, and events positive and productive.
These district students all went up one full level on their KSDE Math state assessment this past spring. This is great progress for a year's worth of work. Go Vikings!

The Lady Vikings Varsity Volleyball Team swept tonight! The Lady Vikings defeated Marmaton Valley 25-12, 25-16 and defeated Pleasanton 25-14, 25-13. Way to go, Lady Vikings!! The Lady Vikings are 12-5 on the season!
I had a chance to see a fun and engaging activity in Mrs. Popejoy's class. Students were involved in making real world business decisions with supply and demand and cost control--great job Mrs. Popejoy!
Mr Martin's 8th grade Social Studies class were doing some cooperate learning today. They were up and moving around doing quiz,quiz,trade over the American Revolution. Great stuff! Go Vikings!!

The Northeast Lady Vikings Varsity Volleyball Team took third place at the Oswego Tournament today! The ladies defeated St. Paul 25-21, 25-21; they defeated Cherryvale 25-22, 19-25, 25-22; they defeated Chetopa 25-12, 25-12; they defeated West Elk 25-19, 22-25, 25-17. They fell to Galena 25-23, 13-25, 11-25; they also fell to Caney Valley 20-25, 16-25.
What a great day of volleyball for our Lady Vikings! The Lady Vikings are currently 10-5 on the season! Come out and watch them play at home on Tuesday, September 23rd at 5:00 pm! They are a lot of fun to watch!
