Congratulations to our September Sixth grade Student of the Month Alayna Kennedy. Alayna's favorite subjects are Reading and Grammar. Her future plans are to attend college and get a degree so she can work with Animals. Congrats Alayna!

The Northeast High School Volleyball Team split tonight! The Lady Vikings defeated Chetopa 25-5, 25-11 and fell to St. Paul 24-26, 12-25. The Lady Vikings are currently 6-2 on the season.
REMINDER that USD#246 is accepting sealed bids for a 42 passenger school bus. It is in decent condition and runs--diesel motor. It is not suitable for schools as it has some weak welds around seating. If interested, it is located at Arma Sales and Service at 69 hwy in Arma, KS. Accepting sealed bids at central office till noon on Sept. 1st.
8th graders finished off our three days of 5 mile camp today. Another very well behaved and respectful group of kiddos represented our school with pride today.

The Northeast Volleyball Team will travel to Galena for a triangular on Thursday, August 31st starting at 5:45 pm. We will not play Galena due to this being a triangular with four teams.
Varsity will play in the Athletic Center and the JV in the old gym.

The Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas will be providing dental screenings August 29, 2023. Dental Screenings are to comply with Kansas State Statute 72-5201, all students, grade K-12, should receive annual school-based dental screening. All Students will be screened unless you notify the school and fill out the KDHE Screening Opt Out Form. Dental Screenings are provided at no cost; no insurance is involved. They will take a quick look in the mouth using only a mirror and a light. A take home note will go home with all students who are screened.
The Northeast High School Football Team will host Jayhawk-Linn for our season opener on Friday, September 1st! Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 pm! Come out and support our Northeast Vikings!
The Northeast High School Lady Vikings Volleyball Team went 5-1 on the day at the TRL Tournament and brought home third place! The Lady Vikings defeated Altoona 25-8, 25-12; defeated Chetopa 25-14, 25-17; fell to Southeast 19-25, 17-25; defeated Pleasanton 19-25, 25-17, 25-21; defeated Marmaton Valley 25-13, 26-24. They came out of their pool as the #2 seed and beat Yates Center 16-25, 25-19, 26-24 to bring home third place! Congratulations to our Lady Vikings!!
